Creation Machines

At least that is what it feels like where I live. My boyfriend's mom draws, can knit and make all sorts of things, as well as her daughter (who is also a tattoo artist). I love the creative environment here.

My first hand-carved stamp!

Drop-stitch scarf.
Scrap fabric...into a hair bow!

I love your illustration!

I make lots of rubber stamps and Alvin plastic erasers work great for carving. Any other brand of white plastic eraser should be just as good. : )

you're very creative doing all these projects, I wish I have your mind. I tried knitting but all I can made are oddly shaped scrafs.

Knitting is something I've never had the patients for. Janet tried to teach me but I never finished anything I started.

It's helpful to be surrounded and motivated by other creative people. I do my best work when I have creative company.

By the way, your scarf is beautiful, and don't give up on stamping--I think you did a great job for a first round. Keep on trying--with someone like you--so talented in every way, you'll only get better with practice!

Like your progress on your sketch and all the different posts. Very cool scarf. Don't give up on the stamp, it's a cute design.

I adore that stamp!! (Why on earth do you think it looks horrible?) It is a cute design and has such a nice "stamp-y" texture... I'm not sure if the texture part makes sense, but I love the slightly rough look that hand-carved stamps normally have. It makes the art so interesting!

Hi Shayla!
So glad you found my blog and followed because I am def going to follow you. I read your profile and when I saw all your interests I thought to myself that I have exactly the same problem as you .. too many interests and too little hours in a day to do all of them. I knit and teach crochet classes amongst all the other crafts and arts I teach and do. Your list of artists that inspire is very close to my list too. I love your work, love the stamp and well done the scarf looks beautiful!
Have a wonderful day!
Ansota :)

I sure didn't have to wait long to see your piece further along. Your stamp is fun too. Nice that you mentioned Crickets creations, I thought it looked like her scarves. We are on the same etsy team, from Montana.

I don't know how to knit to save myself, but these ones are great. I really like the red one over your shoulder.
Nice to hear you're living in a creative house too, must be inspirational!
