I Love Handmade: Handmade Rug

Handmade Rug

So...I really wanted to make a colorful scalloped rug. This was my first sort of "experiment" which resulted in a small prototype. I really just wanted to see if the felt pieces would work out in the design...and also withstand the massive amounts of animal hair floating around. It passed that test for sure.

My son is in love with this small version. I plan on uploading my pattern and maybe give some tips on making this very quirky and inexpensive rug.

This is so cool! I adore the colors. I feel like my kitties would have too much fun ripping it apart, though. :(

I am giving art to a few people who are close to me. I also bought cute Japanese charms, bath fizzies, and cute erasers to give to friends! <3

You are beautiful and your son is adorable. Love the lil' rug. Great work. I'm not crafty at all but my father in law requested I paint his portrait for Christmas so I'll be doing that.

Hey there. Favor to ask: If you have a minute could you please vote for my two clothing designs which are finalists in the Modcloth design contest? If you can't, no worries, but like all online contests these days, it's a community vote (a.k.a. popularity contest) so I could use all the support I can get! Otherwise I certainly wouldn't leave a spammy comment like this!

Info is on my blog. Many, many thanks!

Your handmade rug is lovely. I did give several things to others that were handmade. It seems so much more meaningful to me. Don't you think? :)

Thank you for stopping by tonight. I chuckled at your comment about Pippi Longstocking. LOVE your idea. Hee
